Refund & Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds work for services provided by Bright Day Events.

1. Deposits

A non-refundable retainer of 30% of the planning fee is required to reserve your date. This retainer secures our team's availability and is applied to your final invoice.

2. Cancellation by the Client

• More than 90 days before the event: All payments above the 30% retainer are refundable.
• 60 – 90 days before the event: 50% of the total planning fee is refundable; vendor costs already paid are refundable only to the extent recoverable from each vendor.
• 30 – 59 days before the event: 25% of the planning fee is refundable; vendor refunds are subject to each vendor's policy.
• Less than 30 days before the event: No refunds of planning fees; vendor refunds are subject to each vendor's policy.

3. Rescheduling

One complimentary date change is permitted up to 60 days before the event, subject to team and vendor availability. Additional changes are subject to a rescheduling fee equal to 10% of the planning fee. Vendor rescheduling is subject to each vendor's terms.

4. Cancellation by the Company

If we cancel for any reason other than force majeure or material breach by the Client, we will refund all amounts paid, including the retainer.

5. Force Majeure

If an event cannot proceed due to causes beyond reasonable control (severe weather, natural disasters, government action, public health emergencies, venue closures), we will work in good faith with the Client to reschedule. Non-recoverable vendor costs already incurred are not refundable.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. Bank or card processor timelines for funds to appear may add additional days.

7. Disputes

If you have a concern about a charge or refund, please contact us first at sales@brightdayevent.com so we can resolve the matter directly. We respond to every dispute within five business days.
