We understand that life happens. This policy explains how cancellations and reschedules are handled.

1. Cancellation by Client

  • More than 180 days before event: forfeit retainer only
  • 91–180 days before event: forfeit retainer plus 25% of remaining contract
  • 31–90 days before event: forfeit retainer plus 50% of remaining contract
  • 30 days or fewer before event: full contract amount is due

Vendor deposits and any non-refundable third-party fees already paid on your behalf are additionally non-refundable.

2. Reschedules

Reschedules within 12 months of the original date are generally accommodated subject to availability and any vendor change fees. The retainer carries over to the new date.

3. Cancellation by Bright Day Events

In the unlikely event we must cancel, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid for services not yet rendered. We will also assist you in transitioning to another planner where possible.

4. Force Majeure

If your event is materially impacted by a force-majeure event, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule. Retained amounts apply to the new date.

5. Notice

All cancellation and reschedule requests must be submitted in writing to book@brightdayevent.com. The effective date is the date we receive your written notice.
